Paper serves as a crucial material for the recording, accumulation, transmission, and advancement of human civilization and cultural science. It plays an indispensable role in the history of human development. With the continuous evolution of paper technology, its applications have expanded across all domains of life.

1. Units of Paper:
(1) Grammage: The weight of one square meter of paper is expressed in grams (g). This is calculated as (length × width ÷ 2).
(2) Rei: A unit representing 500 sheets of paper. Commonly used in factory specifications.
(3) Ton: Equivalent to ordinary units, where 1 ton = 1000 kilograms. This unit is primarily used for calculating the cost of large-scale paper production and transactions.

2. Four Common Paper Specifications:
(1) Zhengdu Paper: Length of 109.2 cm and width of 78.7 cm.
(2) Dadu Paper: Length of 119.4 cm and width of 88.9 cm.
(3) Self-Adhesive Paper: Length of 765 cm and width of 535 cm.
(4) Carbonless Paper: Available in both standard and oversized formats. It includes upper, middle, and lower layers, each with distinct pricing and seven color options. These layers are not interchangeable and are commonly used in multi-part forms.

3. Common Paper Types:
(1) Copy Paper: Grammage of 17 g. Standard size, typically pure white. Used for VAT invoices and gift inner packaging.
(2) Typist Paper: Grammage of 28 g. Standard size, available in seven colors (white, red, yellow, blue, green, light green, and purple). Used for duplicate forms.
(3) Glossy Paper: Grammage ranging from 35 to 40 g. One-sided glossy finish, used for waybills, tables, and notes printed on low-grade paper.
(4) Writing Paper: Grammage ranging from 50 to 100 g. Available in both standard and precise formats. Commonly used for low-end printed materials, with domestic paper being prevalent.
(5) Double-Sided Coated Paper: Grammage ranging from 60 to 180 g. High strength, available in both standard and precise formats. Suitable for mid-range printed materials, including domestically produced, joint venture, and imported varieties.
(6) Newsprint: Grammage ranging from 55 to 60 g. Roller paper or Zhengdu paper, commonly used for newspaper printing.
(7) Carbonless Paper: Grammage ranging from 40 to 150 g. Available in both standard and precise formats, featuring direct copying functionality. The upper, middle, and lower layers cannot be interchanged or reused, come in seven colors, and are often used in multi-part forms and tables.
(8) Coated Paper:
A. Double-Coated Paper: Grammage ranging from 80 to 400 g, precise format. Used for high-end printed materials.
B. Single-Coated Paper: Used for paper boxes, cartons, hand-held bags, and medicine boxes. Suitable for high-end printing applications.
(9) Matte Powder Paper: Grammage ranging from 105 to 400 g. Used for aesthetic purposes and high-end color printing.
(10) White-Coated Paper with White Base: Grammage exceeding 200 g, featuring a white base and gray base. Primarily used for packaging.
(11) White Card Paper: Grammage of 200 g, double-sided white. Used for medium-grade packaging.
(12) Kraft Paper: Grammage ranging from 60 to 200 g. Used for packaging, cardboard boxes, file bags, archive bags, and envelopes.
(13) Specialty Paper: Typically imported, commonly used for covers, decorations, handicrafts, and fine product printing.
