### I. Classification by Use
1. **Printing Paper**: Specifically designed for printing purposes, including newsprint, offset paper, etc.
2. **Printing and Copying Paper**: Suitable for a variety of printers and copiers, such as inkjet printing paper, laser printing paper, etc.
3. **Drawing Paper**: Designed for artistic purposes, featuring high whiteness and smoothness, such as sketch paper, watercolor paper, etc.
4. **Household Paper**: Used in daily life, including toilet paper, kitchen paper, etc.

### II. Classification by Manufacturing Process
1. **Uncoated Paper**: Not subjected to surface coating treatment, such as handmade paper, newsprint, etc.
2. **Coated Paper**: Treated with surface coatings to enhance surface properties, such as coated paper, inkjet printing paper, etc.

### III. Classification by Material
1. **Traditional Plant Fiber Paper**: Made from plant fibers, such as wood pulp paper, bamboo pulp paper, etc.
2. **PVC Paper and PP Paper**: Made from plastic materials, characterized by water resistance and durability.

Newsprint, commonly referred to as newspaper paper, adheres to the GB/T 1910 standard in China. Note that glossy color-printed paper included in newspapers does not fall under this category.

#### 2. Offset Printing Paper
Offset printing paper, regulated by the GB/T 30130 standard in China, is widely used for printing various products. Although its surface may not be perfectly smooth, it meets most printing needs, such as the offset paper used in modern black-and-white books. "Daolin paper" is a type of offset printing paper, and double-sided offset printing paper is simply referred to as "double-sided offset paper."

#### 3. Coated Paper
Coated paper, governed by the GB/T 10335 standard in China, is suitable not only for printing but also for writing. This type of paper is particularly suited for laser printing but less so for inkjet printing.

##### 3.1 Coated Art Printing Paper
Also known as "coated paper" or "powder paper," this is the highest-quality type of coated paper, ideal for printing high-quality graphic and text works such as magazines and posters.

##### 3.2 Lightweight Coated Paper
This type of paper is lightweight yet maintains excellent quality, often used for high-quality graphic and text works, such as advertising brochures like those produced by IKEA.

#### 4. Dictionary Paper
Dictionary paper, also known as Bible paper, complies with the GB/T 1912 standard. It is characterized by its lightness, thinness, and opacity, making it suitable for printing high-quality texts such as dictionaries and encyclopedias.

#### 5. White Card Paper
White card paper, conforming to the GB/T 22806 standard, is often used for business cards, packaging, and invitations due to its flawless white color and hard texture.

#### 6. Special Papers
There are also less commonly used special papers, such as embossed printing paper, map paper, and stamp paper, which occupy unique positions in the printing and production fields due to their specific properties and uses.

### V. Office Paper
Office paper encompasses various types, including writing paper, copy paper, and drawing paper, playing an indispensable role in supporting daily office work needs such as writing, photocopying, and drawing.

#### 2.1 Writing Paper
Writing paper, adhering to the GB/T 12654 standard, is specifically designed for stationery items like exercise books and notebooks. Its key feature is the appropriate sizing degree, effectively preventing ink diffusion and ensuring clear writing.

#### 2.2 Typewriting Paper
Typewriting paper, governed by the GB/T 8938 standard, is specially designed for dot matrix printers. This type of paper is often used for printing important documents such as invoices and has high durability and clarity.

#### 2.3 Design Paper
Design paper, following the GB/T 1525 standard, is specifically designed for drawing. It features excellent folding endurance and tensile strength, meeting the precision and clarity requirements for drawing work.

#### 2.4 Tracing Paper
Tracing paper, adhering to the GB/T 1468 standard, is semi-transparent and commonly referred to as "tracing paper."

#### 2.5 Xuan Paper

#### 2.12 Inkjet Printing Paper
Inkjet printing paper, following the GB/T 21301 standard, is specifically designed for inkjet technology. This type of paper requires special coatings on the base paper and can be further coated with plastic or pigment layers to meet different requirements. RC inkjet printing paper, such as common RC photo paper, features a PE resin layer on the surface to enhance water resistance. Note that this type of paper is unsuitable for laser printing.

### VI. Non-Plant Fiber Paper
#### 3.1 PVC Paper
PVC paper, specifically designed for laser printing, is unsuitable for inkjet printing.

#### 3.2 PP Paper
PP paper, also known as synthetic paper, exhibits good scratch resistance during printing and is suitable for laser printing but unsuitable for inkjet printing.
