Many customers will ask us what the substantive differences are between composite cardboard and ordinary cardboard. To put it simply, the manufacturing processes of these two materials are different, and their performance in actual use is also quite obvious.

Ordinary cardboard is usually a single layer or only a few layers of thin paper laminated together. It is lightweight and has a lower cost, but its hardness and load-bearing capacity are relatively limited. If it is used to package heavy items, it is very likely to bend, collapse or be damaged during transportation. In most cases, it is only suitable for small, lightweight daily necessities that do not require much protection.

Composite cardboard is made by firmly bonding multiple layers of paper together under high pressure. It is thicker, harder, and has a more stable structure. Even when carrying heavy loads, it will not easily deform, and it also performs better in terms of anti-fracture, moisture resistance and compression resistance.

In actual packaging usage:

Ordinary cardboard is more suitable for lightweight small packaging, gift packaging and daily consumer products. Composite cardboard is more often used for industrial components, furniture, household appliances, export goods and other products that require better protection.

Although composite cardboard is slightly more expensive, it can significantly reduce the damage rate of goods during logistics and transportation, and is more cost-effective in the long run for the enterprise.
